Circulus (formally WEEE Scotland) has added another CeeD trophy to the cabinet after winning the Remanufacturing Award at this years CeeD Awards Ceremony at the Glasgow Hilton. The award recognises Circulus’ commitment to extending the life of electronic equipment through repair, refurbishment and remanufacturing — keeping valuable resources in use for longer and supporting the transition to a circular economy. This achievement reflects the skill, care and dedication of the entire team, whose work underpins Circulus’ impact every day.
“The timing of the award is especially significant, as Circulus builds on the legacy of WEEE Scotland and further establishes its role in circular resource management. The recognition acknowledges both the team behind the work and the customers whose trust supports ongoing innovation and growth.”
Lyndsay Stewart, Business Development Director, Circulus.
In addition to winning the Remanufacturing award, the business also celebrated being shortlisted in the Net Zero category, and were proud to sponsor the award for best practice in Circular Economy. Winners of the this category, Renewable Parts, have transformed the approach to waste in the Renewable Energy sector, repairing and remanufacturing wind turbines to extend product lifecycle and reduce the carbon impact.
The awards night was made all the more special as the team at Circulus celebrated International Women’s Day, hosting a table of women from across the business.
“In recent years, the organisation has seen a meaningful shift in its workforce. Women are now represented across all areas of the business, from operational and technical roles through to leadership. This reflects a deliberate approach to building a more inclusive and representative workplace, shaped by the communities the business serves.”
Justine Scullion, Business Strategy Manager, Circulus.
