For us, it marks an important moment — not because it changes how we work, but because it independently validates the values and principles that have shaped Circulus since the beginning.
A natural next step following our rebrand
Earlier this year, we rebranded from WEEE Scotland to Circulus to better reflect what we’ve become. While our roots are in responsible WEEE management, our focus today is firmly on repair‑led, asset‑centric circular economy solutions — keeping electronic equipment, components and critical materials in use for as long as possible.
Becoming a B Corp supports this next chapter. It provides a clear framework for continuous improvement and holds us accountable as we grow, ensuring that people, planet and purpose remain embedded in every decision we make.

Founded in 2013, Circulus has grown organically by helping organisations rethink how they manage electronic assets. Through repair, refurbishment and the redeployment of high‑value components back into supply chains, we support customers to reduce waste, cut carbon and avoid unnecessary spend on new equipment.
This approach is particularly important for organisations handling large volumes of electronics containing critical and scarce materials, where resilience, cost control and environmental performance are increasingly connected. Our B Corp score reflects a long‑standing commitment to people as well as planet. We are a Real Living Wage Employer and a recognised Supported Business, creating accessible roles and long‑term career pathways while contributing to a more inclusive local economy.
Over the years, this commitment has been recognised through a number of awards, including Community Wealth Building, Innovation and Net Zero awards at the Glasgow Business Awards, and Climate Hero at The Herald Business Awards.

Progressing the circular economy for electronics can’t be done alone. We actively collaborate with REACT (Responsible Electronics and Circular Technologies), universities, industry forums and supply‑chain partners across Glasgow, Scotland and the wider UK.
We’re also proud to be involved in international innovation programmes supported by Innovate UK and Canada, including collaborative projects with The Royal Mint focused on advancing electronics resource recovery and critical‑materials innovation.
