Circulus is proud to be co-hosting “Closing the Loop: Rethinking Business Models for Scotland’s Electronics” in partnership with REACT (Responsible Electronics and Circular Technologies) and Glasgow University Business School.
As the demand for electronics continues to rise, so too does the challenge of managing them responsibly at end of life. From critical materials to data security risks, the way we design, use, and recover electronic assets is becoming increasingly complex — and increasingly important.
This event brings together leaders from across the electronics value chain — including industry, academia and policy — to explore how we move beyond traditional linear models and embed circular thinking into business practice.
What to expect
- Insight into emerging circular business models for electronics
- Perspectives from industry, research and policy leaders
- Practical discussion on reuse, repair, and responsible recycling
- Opportunities to connect with organisations shaping Scotland’s circular economy
At Circulus, we see first-hand the challenges businesses face in managing IT and electrical equipment — from secure data destruction through to reuse, refurbishment, and materials recovery. We also see the opportunity: to reduce waste, protect value, and build more resilient, future-ready organisations.
This event is about bridging that gap — turning circular ambition into practical action.
